I have been a board-certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner since 2001. I earned my Master of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University. My background includes 23+ years working in Level II and Level III NICUs in various states providing compassionate care to infants and their families. I have been an Advanced Practice Nurse in Arizona since 2005. My career choice was inspired by volunteering in the cuddler program in the NICU during my undergraduate studies at the University of Florida.
I have extensive experience managing acute situations in both the delivery room and NICU environments.
My clinical interests include neonatal nutrition and neonatal abstinence syndrome. I strive to provide the best evidence-based care for my patients by utilizing the latest research to guide my practice and improve patient outcomes and quality of care. I enjoy teaching and training both new nurses, practitioners, and medical residents. My care is family centered, and I appreciate the importance of considering the parents’ beliefs and desires when managing the care of neonates. In my spare time, I enjoy spending quality time with my husband and 2 children, cooking and traveling.
