Our Philosophy

The Solara Difference

Grounded in Evidence. Guided by Expertise.
At Solara Neonatal, every clinical decision is rooted in the latest research and best practices in neonatology—ensuring your baby receives the safest, most effective care possible. That care is delivered by a team of neonatologists trained at some of the nation’s top programs, including the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), Johns Hopkins Hospital, and Emory University—bringing world-class expertise to every bedside.

Mission

To deliver exceptional, family-centered neonatal care rooted in clinical excellence, compassionate collaboration, and an empowered team culture. We illuminate the path for every newborn and their family with expertise, warmth and purpose.

Vision

To be Arizona’s most trusted neonatal group – where families feel supported, outcomes shine, providers thrive in a culture of excellence and unity, and innovation paves the path forward.

Digitizing the Patient Experience, empowering you with information.

At Solara, we want every family to feel connected, informed, and cared for. Our Tap Tags make it easy for parents to instantly learn who their caregivers are and understand what their baby is about to experience, all with a simple tap. By putting this information right at families’ fingertips, we’re helping remove uncertainty and strengthening trust—so parents feel supported, confident, and reassured at every step of their child’s journey.

One journey. One team. From Women’s Health to Solara to VINES — care that goes further

From OB and maternal-fetal medicine with Women’s Health Arizona, to specialized NICU care with Solara Neonatal, and continuing with post-NICU support through VINES, families are never alone. This continuum is a differentiator — seamless, coordinated, and comprehensive — designed to give mothers and babies the best possible outcomes from start to finish.

Unlike Traditional NICU Models

In many NICUs, physicians and providers rotate daily, leading to frequent hand-offs. Solara’s unique approach minimizes these disruptions by maintaining continuity within our team of  physicians and APP’s, giving your family a sense of stability and trust.

Collaborative Care You Can Count On:

Our APP’s are advanced practice providers with specialized neonatal expertise. They work side-by-side with our neonatologists to provide hands-on care, monitor daily progress, and keep you informed and involved.

We Don’t Stop at Discharge

Most NICU families are sent home with little support—just when they need it most. At Solara Neonatal, we believe the journey doesn’t end at the NICU door.

That’s why we created VINES in partnership with Southwest Human Development—a first-of-its-kind program in Arizona designed to support families during the critical transition from hospital to home.

Through VINES, our team stays connected for the first 30 days after discharge, offering guidance, resources, and a caring hand to help families navigate feeding challenges, medical needs, emotional strain, and the uncertainty of life after the NICU.

No other program in the state offers this kind of dedicated follow-through—because we’re not just invested in your baby’s care. We’re invested in your whole journey.

Better Coordination, Less Frustration

With fewer hand-offs, your baby’s care team remains closely aligned, consistently proactive, and deeply invested in their journey—from the NICU to home. Solara Neonatal is the only neonatology team in Arizona that is vertically integrated with both obstetrics and maternal-fetal medicine through Women’s Health Arizona. This seamless collaboration across the entire perinatal spectrum creates exceptional value for patients and families, ensuring truly coordinated, personalized care at every step.
